Springtime Fun, Easter, & More

Hello, everyone!

We are all doing well & enjoying the nicer weather these days.  Ariel is learning her colors & doing very well with them—she can only say blue, though it sounds more like “boo.”  She can point out yellow, green, red & purple as well if you ask her to find something that color.  She’s added a few more words to her vocabulary, including duck, help, “Nanny” for Granny, “Puh-eece” for Auntie Patrice, & “Tee Tee” for Auntie Angie.  She has also started calling Grama “Ama” now instead of “Guh.”

David attended a Warrior Leadership course in Salt Lake City for two weeks in March for the Army National Guard.  He did great in his course, and we were very happy to have him home again!  Ariel’s face just lit up at the airport when she saw her daddy.

I took another knitting course and completed my first baby hat earlier this month.  Ariel points to it and says, “Moma,” because she knows I made it for her.  Cute!

Ariel & I have had a lot of fun with the Idaho Moms’ Network—we’ve discovered some new places to go, such as the Ada Community Library & Boise Art Museum.  Ariel loves the Music & Movement class the library offers!

We’ve also been busy doing more yard projects—we finished up this corner area of our yard by planting bushes & flowers, plus we added bark.  David is still busy working on the garden patio as well.

And we’ve done a little indoors too—like added more “big girl” decor to Ariel’s bedroom.  Aunty Patrice painted the letters to spell her name and is working on a coat rack as well. The jungle decor has been moved to the playroom for now, which will eventually become the next baby’s room.  Ariel’s room definitely looks like a little  girl’s room now.

We went to Mountain Home to see David’s grandparents & the rest of the family for Easter.  Ariel really enjoyed seeing everyone & joining in the Easter egg hunt with Jordan.

We will be celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary on the 28th of this month.  We went to Hailey, Idaho this past weekend to the Bed & Breakfast we usually go to while Moma & Alan watched Ariel overnight.  It was a nice little get away!

Well, that’s about it for now.  A week from today we’ll be picking up Chris (David’s dad) from the airport---we can’t wait!!  So, we’ll have lots of pictures next month from his visit.

Here’s a short video of Ariel reciting some of her alphabet:

And here are some ‘bonus’ pics we thought you might like!

Hope you are all doing well!

Lots of love,

Tammy, David & Ariel
